For the second time this year, the JSM crew (Joe, Cory, Duke, and Xena) and the BAD HABIT Monster Truck traveled north of the boarder to thrill fans in Canada.   This time, we would be performing in front of over 50,000 people in Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Qc.   This was our first time in Montreal and first time running on the Monster Spectacular series.   The Monster Spectacular, put on by Chris Arel, is the largest monster truck tour in Canada and is televised on Canadian TV stations.  Although many of the fans there did not speak much English, there was no doubt that they loved ReadyLift BAD HABIT Monster Truck!  The night started off with a pit party with over 10,000 fans in attendance.  After introductions, all 12 trucks took part in a long jump contest off some pretty sketchy metal ramps that were barely wide enough for the trucks to hit.  I don’t believe they announced an official winner, but the BAD HABIT truck was definitely in the top 3.  With no qualifying rounds, we went straight into Chicago-style racing.  I had a good run going but missed the jump on the last time around and was disqualified.  Freestyle went very well.  After about 2 minutes of big air hits all over the floor, I took a turn with a little too much momentum and the hard packed surface flipped me right over.   After a quick interview with the announcer, BAD HABIT was flipped back over onto its wheels and I got strapped back in and headed back out onto the floor.  The fans went absolutely crazy and gave me a standing ovation after I made a few more big leaps through the air and ended in an ear shattering donut spinning my SVRE engine at about 7,000 rpms!  The weekend went very well and we had a lot of fun and made a lot of new fans.  We have a couple weeks off now and then it’s on to Virginia Beach May 7,8, and 9 for 4 performances right down on the beach!
